Privacy policy

This page explains what information I collect when you book a call, write to me or accept audience measurement, what it is used for, which tools process it and how to exercise your rights.

Last updated: October 24, 2026.

Who is responsible

Vincent Milor, founder of AméliorIA, is responsible for the protection of personal information. For any question or request, write to me:

Vincent Milorvincentmilor@amelioria.ca

What I collect

When you book a discovery call, the Cal.com form asks for:

  • your name and email address (required);
  • a short description of what you would like to discuss (required);
  • if you wish, a phone number, notes and the email addresses of other people to invite.

The booking also includes the time slot you choose and your time zone.

If no time works for you, the “Write to me” form on the Contact page asks for your name, email address and message (required) and, if you wish, the name of your organization. If you write to me by email, I receive your email address and the content of your message.

If you accept audience measurement, Google Analytics also collects browsing data: pages viewed, device and browser, approximate region, where the visit came from, and the fact that a message was sent or a booking was completed, without their content.

What it is used for

  • Organizing the call: confirming the appointment, adding it to my calendar and sending you the video meeting link.
  • Communicating with you about your request, before and after the call.
  • Replying to messages sent through the form on the Contact page.
  • Preparing the call and following up on your request, if you wish.
  • If you accept, measuring site traffic to improve it: visits, pages viewed, messages sent and bookings completed. No advertising.

The tools used

These services process your information for me. Their own policies describe their practices; what follows only summarizes their role.

Cal.com
Booking calendar and form on the Contact page. Cal.com records the booking and sends the confirmation emails. In its policy, Cal.com states that it acts as a processor for bookings and processes data in the United States.
Cal Video
Cal.com’s video conferencing app, used for the call. According to Cal.com, it is provided by Daily.co, in the United States.
Google
My business calendar and mailbox. Each booking is added to my calendar; my mailbox receives the form messages and the emails you send me.
AméliorIA’s server, in Québec
A server rented from OVHcloud in Beauharnois. It hosts this site, receives messages from the “Write to me” form and forwards them to Resend, without storing them.
Resend
An email delivery service that routes form messages to my mailbox through Amazon SES, in the United States. The email is plain text, with no open or click tracking.
Google Analytics
Audience measurement, only if you accept it. Google Analytics receives the address of the pages viewed and technical data (IP address, browser, device). According to Google, the IP address is neither logged nor stored. Advertising features and Google Signals are turned off; no name, email, message or booking detail is sent.

Processing outside Québec

Your information is communicated outside Québec. Cal.com and Cal Video process booking information in the United States. Form messages first pass through AméliorIA’s server in Québec, then are processed in the United States by Resend and Amazon SES. Google, which hosts my calendar and mailbox, may also process them outside Québec. If you accept audience measurement, Google Analytics data is processed by Google, including in the United States.

Cookies and technical data

Without your consent, the site’s pages, apart from Contact, use no external service and set no cookies. No advertising.

A window offers you audience measurement with Google Analytics, with two equivalent choices: “Accept” or “Decline”. Nothing is loaded or sent to Google before “Accept”. If you accept, Google Analytics sets the “_ga” and “_ga_…” cookies, used to tell visits apart; according to Google, they expire after two years by default. Your choice is kept in your browser (“amelioria-analytics”). You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie preferences”, at the bottom of every page; declining stops the measurement and erases these cookies.

On the Contact page, the Cal.com calendar loads only if you click “Choose a time to talk”. Your browser then connects to the servers of Cal.com and Google (for the calendar’s profile photo) and, at times, to the Sentry service the calendar uses to report technical errors. These services receive technical data such as your IP address and browser type. During my check on October 22, 2026, the calendar also added a “__cf_bm” cookie, used to detect bots and expiring after 30 minutes of inactivity, and a “reserverUid” value in the browser’s storage. The “Book on Cal.com” link opens the booking page directly on the Cal.com website.

This site is hosted on AméliorIA’s server, in Québec. The server keeps no access log: it records neither your IP address, nor the pages you view, nor your browser. If a technical error occurs, its log may contain the connection data of the request concerned; this log is kept for at most 90 days. The “Write to me” form only contacts the server when you send your message. To limit abuse of the form, the server then keeps the IP address of your connection in memory, never written to disk, and erases it automatically at most about 11 minutes after your last submission.

Retention and deletion

I keep your information as long as it is useful to answer your request or carry out a mandate. I clean up once a year, so a deletion may take place up to a year after the following periods:

  • request with no follow-up: one year after the last exchange;
  • completed mandate: routine exchanges, as soon as the mandate ends; only the documents that establish the work agreed and delivered (accepted quote, deliverables, decisions confirmed in writing) are kept for three years after it ends;
  • accounting documents, such as invoices and contracts: as long as tax laws require.

According to Resend, its service keeps form messages for 30 days. According to Google, an email I delete stays in the trash for 30 days, then can still be restored for 25 days.

Google Analytics: detailed data linked to a cookie is kept for two months (a setting of my account), then erased by Google. This setting does not apply to aggregated statistical reports, which remain available.

You can ask me at any time to delete your information, without waiting: I then keep only what the law requires me to keep.

Your rights and requests

You can ask me to:

  • access the information I hold about you;
  • correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • receive the information you provided in a commonly used digital format;
  • withdraw your consent or have your information deleted.

For any request, write to me. For an access or correction request, the law provides for a response within 30 days. For booking information, contact me rather than Cal.com: Cal.com recommends the same.

If my response does not satisfy you, you can contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
